Admission Procedure - 1

The admission is normally granted to children of SSP, CISF school and co-operative store employees. Vacancies, if any will be kept open for outsiders.

The following certificates should be submitted at the time of admission:

Std I : Birth certificate (Origninal and Xerox)

Std II to VII : Transfer certificate issued by a recognized school (with the counter signature of the competent authority if the T.C. is from other state or board)

Age rules : classes I to VII the age of the student will be reckoned accordingly with 31st July as reference date.

Two summative / semester examinations and two mid-semester examinations are conducted in the school. In order to encourage continuous reading habit and promoting comprehension skills weekly tests for classes III to VI and class tests for classes I and II are conducted. Continuous comprehensive evaluation will be done by the subject teachers to encourage reading of text books. Weekly tests are conducted as slip tests on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from classes III to VII with few instant questions selected from the lessons completed during the preceding week. 10% of the weekly test score is added to the weightage for promotion.

Absence

  • Students are responsible for making up all works missed by them.
  • Students who must leave the campus during the school hours should bring letters from their parents explaining the reason and submit it to the class teacher first period in the morning
  • No one who has been absent on the previous day will be admitted to the class without a leave letter.

Each student is expected to be honest while answering his/ her tests and terminal examinations. If a student is found copying in any form or having a bit paper or pre planned written script, he/she will be kept suspended for the particular test or through the entire period of test/examination. The suspension period will be treated as absent.

Promotion

Promotion is granted on the basis of the whole year’s performance of the pupil; hence regularity in attendance and school work is imperative



Admission Procedure - 2 (School Rules)

  • A Student should carry his/her identity card and diary to school every day.
  • Parents who bring their student(s) in cars/bikes are requested to park their vehicles on the main road and bring/send their children on foot to avoid congestion and accidents near the gate.
  • Change of classrooms between periods should be done in silence and in an orderly manner.
  • Students should be habitually clean and neatly dressed, shoes should be polished and nails trimmed
  • Boys should periodically trim their hair
  • Girls should come in folded plaits and white ribbons
  • No shouting is allowed within the school premises
  • Students are strictly forbidden to throw anything at anyone in the class
  • Students are forbidden from using bad language and getting into fights with other students
  • Damage of school property will be strictly dealt with, any damage done will be made good by the one who does it
  • Anyone who notices something damages should report the matter to the class teacher/physical education department
  • Students are advised to keep their classroom/school building/campus as neat as possible and throw leftovers and bits of paper into the dustbin only
  • Students are advised to avoid bringing plastic carry bags to school

Admission Procedure - 3 (Code of Conduct)

  • Students should come to school in time and in prescribed school uniform on all working days
  • Students should bring the required books, note books and other materials to the class and are expected to take care of their belongings.
  • Students should remain attentive to the teacher while teaching and follow his/her instructions with due respect and discipline
  • All students should obey their teachers, parents and elders.
  • Students should always keep their classrooms neat and tidy. Special care should be taken by all students not to damage the school property. If found damaged the pupil will be fined.
  • Students should keep up mutual help and co-operation among themselves. They should cultivate brotherly/sisterly affection and exhibit peaceful co-existence.
  • Students should have etiquette. They should learn use of words like please, thank you, sorry, excuse me, etc according to the context.
  • All homework and assignment should be completed and submitted on time without fail.
  • Without the permission or directive from the teacher, no pupil should enter into other classrooms.
  • No student should wander on the school corridors or ground during class hours.
  • Students should not touch or take other’s property without their permission. Things found lost must be handed over to the class teacher or the principal.
  • Whenever a student requires to go early from the school due to unavoidable reasons, he/she should get permission from the principal.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to submit a requisition to avail leave. If not possible, a letter with the signature of the parent should be produced while returning to school.
  • Pure white canvas shoes and white socks are compulsory for physical education classes.
  • Irregularity, unpunctuality, truancy, disobedience, objectionable moral behavior, unseemly conduct or breach of the school discipline will be dealt with severely on report from the class teacher/teachers.
